Supportive Living & Respite

Flexible accommodation and respite options for people with a range of disabilities, supporting independence and giving families and carers peace of mind. Short-, medium- and long-term accommodation and respite, tailored to your needs and stage of life.

Our services include:

  • Short-Term Accommodation (STA): Ideal for participants who need a temporary place to stay, whether for respite, recovery, or to try out new environments.
  • Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA): Supporting participants during transitional periods—such as while waiting for permanent housing or after a hospital stay.
  • Long-Term Accommodation: A stable, comfortable home designed to foster independence and community connection.
  • Respite Support: Short or extended care that supports participants while giving families and carers time to rest and recharge.

What are Accommodation Services & Respite?

Accommodation Services and Respite provide participants and their families with short-term support in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment. Respite can offer participants new experiences, opportunities to build independence and social connections, while also providing carers with time to rest and recharge.

At ADSS, respite is about more than temporary accommodation – it’s about creating positive experiences that encourage confidence, independence and meaningful participation.

Who is Eligible for Accommodation Services & Respite?

Accommodation Services and Respite are available to eligible NDIS participants whose plans include funding for Short Term Accommodation (STA) or respite supports. Eligibility depends on your NDIS goals, support needs and funding arrangements.

If you’re unsure whether respite is included in your plan, our friendly team can help you understand your options.
